Greetings From Buenos Aires, new member

Hi Friends, Thanks for accepting me in this distinguished forum, I am writing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have a sailboat of 39 feet, 390 Millenium, called Durney, and my best experience was my participation in "Friendship Cruise 2010" with 27 participants sailing from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro back in 2011.
I'm preparing the boat to repeat the experience in 2014.
My best regards and as usual in my country when you come to a forum to offer a toast to Ron, for all, and cibernetic cheers..

Danny del Durney

Not breaking chops here, this is an honest question -

If one were to post in another language & then provide an English translation to go with it, would that be acceptable?

Thanks,
Jim

My initial reaction is that if the English translation is provided in the first place, why would we need to have the other language whatever it might be. It clutters up the forum, and if it is a longer post, other readers may skip over it entirely if they don't realize that there's a translation that follows.

English has worked well for this forum for many years. It is international in scope and we have not had any problems that I'm aware of with people being able to communicate or use it.

Welcome aboard! Good to have you here.
I've been using a Hawaiian word in my greetings for years. Aloha.
