Greetings from the Chesapeake

I'm a new member, but long-time sailor with my husband, mostly in the Chesapeake but also back and forth to Maine, where our boat is now. We sail a gaff-rigged schooner that my father-in-law built, with my husband's help. She's nominally 39', but gets longer every year, at least as far as the maintenance goes.

Over the years I've found CF when searching for some info, but never thought to join. Did so last week because I saw the classifieds and thought this would be a better place to sell some gear than the usual general sites. But whoops - I missed the message to introduce myself before posting items and now am correcting my mistake by coming to say hi to all!

And I've already had some nice back and forth with other members about anchors (one item we hope will find a new home) and bowsprits so look forward to spending more time on the forums, exchanging info and tips. And always learning!
