After avidly perusing the forum for several months (and feeling somewhat guilty at doing it without being registered- like a pique-assiette crashing a party), I finally decided to join you all. I'm very happy to be part of the community, and hope to be able to contribute, if only for a fraction of what I've already taken out of the site.

Should your sailing ever bring you in these parts (moored at Jounieh in Lebanon), do not hesitate to holler: there is a small, but tight knit and passionate community of sailors here, always interested to meet fellow sailors from far, or not so far, away places.

It's good to have you here. I spent some time in Haifa aboard a Navy Cruiser many years ago and was wondering about cruising boats between the shores of the countries along that coast. How is the ease of moving along the coast and anchoring here and there considering the politics?

To SkiprJohn: unfortunately, still not possible to sail up or down the coast without being intercepted by all sorts of navies :-) as DannySt can probably attest. Maybe one day soon, i hope
To saucysailoress: Must be interesting to sail in Kuwait! I was just on the water once in UAE, on a day with no wind, but with a spectacular view on the Dubai skyline.
