Greetings from the LBL

Hello from Lake Barkley, KY. My name is Thomas (T.A.) and my family and I have finally moved into the realm of cruising. We realized that we were really cruisers rather than players, when we attempted to make a run last year and when we got back from one of our best trips we where close to running out of gas. Of course the next weekend we decided to go for a long boat camping weekend and of course the second morning after looking at our gas guage, we thought we could make it to a marina a little farther down needless to say trying to stretch 60 miles out of a 18 gallon tank really does not work, so we started looking for something that we could really cruise for distance and still have the ability to play a little with it. If you all are ever up our way, give a shout ( Bobbin is the name of the boat). I am on the water most every weekend in and around the LBL until June, We are looking to do a short run somewhere. See you all soon.

Welcome Aboard T.A. Keep on having fun. I remember the Tennessee lakes from my youth. Very beautiful country.

Aloha TA,
Welcome aboard!! I usually get to KY once every two years to visit the in-laws in Lexington. Don't know how the airline prices are going to effect us this year so have to wait and see.
Good to have you here. Does your boat have sails? Don't need gas if it does.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
