Talking Happy Cruising in Mexico

I am so happy and proud to say we have met several of our goals for the past 5 years. To learn to sail larger boats (hobie was my vessel for years), buy a cruiser/liveaboard, and do the BajaHaha. This year we completed a passage from Seattle to San Diego and completed the BajaHaha rally to Cabo San Lucas in our Passport 40. We are now in Puerta Vallarta where we will leave the boat in our sons very capable hands for a few months to return to Seattle to see family and welcome a new grandbaby. The lessons learned about the boat and ourselves have been amazing, it is now that I feel we are settling down into a rhythm and enjoying this life of cruising. I love the saying 'there are no problems only solutions' and during our most challenging times I ask myself to look at the situation in this light. We are learning the spanish language and I find my head hurting somedays with so many new words. It is wonderful to be able to chat with the locals and the experience will be so much richer when we have this knowledge, so that has gone on the list of new goals!I look forward to participating in your forum now as a member.
