Hello

We have been members for a while learning this lifestyle. Last year Nancy and I bought a 1979 53' Skookum pilothouse cutter to be our new home. Boat is in Connecticut, 1000 miles from home. We live in NW Wisconsin now after years in Montana. Over the past year we have working vacationed two weeks at a time on the boat and hope it to be our full time home in the fall.

With some mental editing this has been a great site. I introduced the site to my son last year who has a Islander 30 on Lake Superior. After surfing the forum he told Nancy that everything Dad (me) knew about sailing he learned on Cruisers Forum. This blew my cover with Nancy who I previously convinced to trust me cause I was 'born' with seamanship skills. I knew what I was doing because my dad learned seamanship on his dad's Glouchester fishing schooner. (We were in Mystic CT last summer and it was cool to see a dory schooner like my Grand Dad's.)
