Hello everyone!

Just joined the forum, excited to learn more! I grew up in Nebraska on a lake and did some competition slalom skiing. Owned a runabout in Phoenix for about 8 years. I am currently living near Salt Lake City.

This past weekend I flew to LA and took the 101 Sailing class with SailTime Ventura. My instructor was Lori Klaidman, and she was an incredible teacher! I am totally hooked, I plan on going back soon to take the 103, 104, and 114. My current plan is to join a fractional ownership or sailing club and start accumulating experience.

I am a knowledge nut, so I know there will be endless opportunities for me to learn with this new hobby/lifestyle. I hope to meet many new friends and learn and share experiences.

Re: Hello everyone!

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

A house is but a boat so poorly built and so firmly run aground no one would think to try and refloat it.
