I'm new to this forum and the moderator asked me to introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Pat, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My wife and I are 6 months into our 5 year plan to go cruising. We don't have a boat yet, but we're actively searching. We want to cruise with an undetermined destination (Mexico, South Pacific -> New Zealand then?). Planning to be gone for 10 years.

Looking forward to a variety of opinions.

When I was shopping for my boat I learn so much from people here and saved alot of money when I did buy due to the advice given.

Was the best choice I ever made in my live to live aboard.
