Hello, from a Current Liveaboard and Soon-to-Be Cruiser

Hello All,
I've been checking out this site for a couple of years now, have found it very helpful and have a few questions that I could use some help answering.
OK, a bit about me.
My name is Scott, I'm single, no kids, and 38 years old. I am finally living aboard my 42 foot 1979 Pearson 424 ketch in Emeryville, CA. I say finally because I've had the boat almost 2 years and sold the last of my big ticket items and moved aboard in the middle of April 2009. Just as I was getting comfortable, on May 18th I was in a motorcycle accident that broke my leg in five places (ouch). I then found myself living in Sacramento on my Mom's couch in the spare room of her house for the next 7 months (thanks Mom). So for the good news I'm walking and sailing again as well as have a few bucks to finish up my boat.
My current plan is to finish fitting out the boat which includes deciding on a name for her and doing the 2010 Ba Ha HaHa and then heading on to Europe.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Hope the leg is better. Dang motorcycles. I'm the only guy in my family that never broke a bone on one. I stuck to small Hondas thought so that might be the reason.
regards,
