Hello from Arlington VA !

We are Eustace Scrubb, a husband and wife co-captain team who recently moved to the District of Columbia area from the west coast. We met while sailboat racing in Vancouver, boat-camped for a few years on a Martin 242 (one-design similar to a J24), and are now looking to buy our first sailboat to use on Chesapeake Bay.

If you live in Arlington and can tell us who Eustace is, we'll buy you a beer (or two or three)!

We look forward to learning from and, we hope, sharing ideas with the other members of this forum.

Re: Hello from Arlington VA !

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Eustace Scrubb.

Evidently, there are 50 people in Virginia (VA) named Eustace; but Eustace Clarence Scrubb is a fictional character in C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia.

Beer doesn't come in 2-3 packs - six minimum, and (in Canada) a case is 24.

Welcome aboard, Eustace! (I used to live in North Arlington, but I don't know Eustace.) Hope you find that boat...see you on the water!
