Hello From Cocoa Beach FL

I'm new to this forum but not sailing. My wife Jen and I sailed the South Pacific from 99 to 02 in our Hallberg Rassy Rasmus "Sojourner" leaving from San Diego and ending in Fiji. Now after having swallowed the hook for 15 years we have our next freedom ticket - a Brewer 12.8 (42) based in Melbourne FL. Currently called Tribute but soon to be renamed "Sojourner II".

Looking forward to getting back into the cruisers community and sharing experiences and learning new tricks.

Re: Hello From Cocoa Beach FL

Welcome aboard as well. We are John and Beth Pohle and also cruised through the South Pacific in 1999 aboard "Cygnus" a Gulfstar 50. We had our two children with us for the trip and finished in New Zealand. " Sojourner" sounds so familiar that I think we must have met along the way. We now live aboard a Fleming 55 just down the road from you in Sanford, FL on Lake Monroe. Love to meet some time and share tall tales from the Coconut Milk Run of 1999.

Warmest Regards
John and Beth

Re: Hello From Cocoa Beach FL

Hi John and Beth! Cygnus rings a bell too - we must have crossed paths at some point! I used to give out the weather over the Seafarers net most everyday throughout the S. pacific, so you may have heard Sojourner on the radio.

Will definitely get in touch next time we are in Orlando - or vice versa if you are in our neck of the woods; Would be great to swap stories.

Best regards

It's too easy to get tied down. Work, more work, where does the time go? Welcome back.
