Hello from Maryland

Greating all. Been lurking for some time but thought I would finally make an account and say hi. Purchased my 2010 Beneteau 31 in 2020, have done some minor projects (running rigging replaced, all fluids, cleaned and fixed a leaking black water tank).

My wife and I are in our mid thirties and really enjoying learning a ton. The boat is in Annapolis and we have sailed to St. Michael's and lots of little trips in the bay. 31 feet is the right size to learn to sail the bigger boats without the big slip fees. Once we get closer to retirement we are looking to upgrade to a bigger boat, around 44 feet.

Looking forward to soaking up the knowledge. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. Saint Michael's was one of our favorite stops in the Chesapeake. You have a great home base to learn and play in!

Re: Hello from Maryland

Welcome aboard! It's a good size boat.

I sailed the Chesapeake for a little bit when I lived in Baltimore (farther south now). You have a good set of stomping grounds. You should even have a front row seat to the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race in October 4-9!
