Hi everyone. My username is Rickkun, I recently joined Cruisers forum and look forward to taking part in all the great discussion. I've enjoyed reading the forum in the past and now that i'm close to being a boat owner ,I'll be visiting here more often.

I'm from Port Alberni. I'm not decided on a boat but think that 32-34 is what my wife and I need. Hopefully it will happen sooner then later.

How about you where are you from and what boat did you decide on?

Have you joined the Port Alberni Yacht Club? I have used their dock in Barkley Sound and met of few of the members. They are great folks.

I live on San Juan Island. I have two boats (I have it bad) a San Juan 24 and a Mariner 32 ketch that I am doing a total restoration on and which is sitting next to my shop. I just watched a video on the Port Alberni web site about the beautiful area you live in. I've always wanted to see Barkley Sound. You have a lot of sailing possibilities although it would take a while to get out that inlet. Good luck with your boat search.

You've certainly picked the right area in which to sail. Just saw a southern Cross 31 on the ads here in the forum. Looks to be in your area but I don't know about the price. Great boat.
