Hello From Portland, OR

Not good with introductions so I'll ramble and wander aimlessly. Last time I sailed was when me left knee gave out and I went head first into the dresser. I love the Formosa 41 Sea Tiger and Vagabond 47(1975-1984 models). Minimal sailing experience due to poor health. Eventually will look for a manageable boat to move onto. Loves to take long walks down short piers. Currently trying to figure out all the differences between the Chapman Piloting, Seamanship & Small Boat Handling 61st and 66th editions(besides about 280 pages and $30). As you can tell by now with the structure of this post I specialize in reading, not writing.

I'll bet you like Powell's Book Store. Good to have you posting here. Originally I was an Oregonian from Salem so knew your area pretty well from a historic point of view since I left 50 years ago. Lloyds shopping center was new when I was there and Jantzen beach still had a beautiful public swimming pool with a high dive.

Welcome. You being from Portland, nothing you say could surprise me. Portland has the most progressive population of any US urban area and I tip my hat to you and your neighbors. It is also a hot bed for electric car development, which I am heavy into.
