Hello from Sunny Queensland...Another Cat Crew!

Hi there

new to the forum.

We are a family of mum, dad, 2 girls aged 6 and 9, and very part-time 16 year old son, sailing our Crowther Eureka 32 sailing cat on Moreton Bay.

I've sailed all my life and introduced DH in 1999 aboard a Sunmaid 20 trailer sailer.

Once the seed was planted, bought a Cal 34 which we had for a couple years. Too little room for my trash girls!! So, last year went to the Dark Side and bought the cat. Love the space, wish she would go to windward...anywhere close to the wind!!

Really after advice about a galley refit and info about getting into anchorages such as Day's Gutter and Wallum Pool.

Hooroo
Trace and crew

You could try Geoff Cruse at Lota, he knows more about crowthers than almost anyone.

DAys and Wallum, pretty easy - have a look in Beacon to beacon, go in on a rising tide - around half way and go slow.

G'Day and welcome,
As another who sits shivering whilst the snow builds up outside - I'm real jealous!
Sail safe
