Hello from Thailand

Hi......I'm Olaf and just like to introduce myself. I have been living in Thailand since 30 years. Now I have decided to start cruising as of end of next year. No idea where I will start. It depends on where I can find the right boat for the right price. Preferably I would like to take over from someone who wants to give up his cruising life. I owned, sailed and raced manly multihulls in the last 15 years. My choice would be a cat 38-42 ft. As my budget is limited I can not afford a performance cat, so a cruiser like an FP cat must do. That's all for now. I probably will open another thread re my search for a cat. Best regards from sunny Thailand !

Hi Tholaf and welcome to CF.
I'm sure you'll find a lot of advice and well intentioned opinions here. Good luck on your boat search and future plans.

John

Talk to an independent broker operating in Thailand

You need someone smart and no BS - a straight talking guy

I can recommend a guy called Daniel Vorhese.

Asia Yacht Sales is the name of his business
He operates across Singapore and Thailand
He will also put you in touch with good quality surveyors there

Has offices in Singapore and Phuket.

His mobile number is +65 8186 5101

Hi Charliehows......you are right. Langkawi has quite a few boats for sale. Will be there in about 2 weeks when we sail in the Raja Muda Regatta. Thanks.

Ps. Also thanks to the other members who sent a welcome note !
