Hello from Wisconsin s/v Sun Drop

Took my recently purchased 1972 South Coast 22 out for the first time today. Love this site! There's nothing like the first time is there?

Aloha Padron,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you out sailing. Yes, nothing like he first time. I've always been curious as to how the South Coast sails. How'd she peform?
My first boat was a Catalina 22.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Aloha Skipr John

I will start by saying I am no sailing expert by a long shot... I took a series of lessons that included a Catalina 22, O'day 22, MacGregor 26, and Hunter 26, and purchased the South Coast mostly because the previous owner took such great care of her and was asking a reasonable price. It was a light air day, but it was awesome none the less. The reading I have done about the South Coast suggests they are considered a little tender, but I don't think I know enough to know better.

My wife and daughters had never been sailing before, and loved it, but we chose a light enough day there was no scary moments. Love to get enough experience to get a bigger boat and sail your way someday!
