Hello there, Sailing Friends !

I probably should have posted here sooner. I've been reading your forums for months (if not years) now... secretly harvesting information, reading your advise, critiques, and encouragement. So thank you all. Now hopefully I can be a contributing member as well.

After reading and researching for a very long time, I finally bought my boat. Yeah! She's a sturdy boat, with room for upgrades, improvements, and minor maintenance. She's getting a bottom job right now. There's other maintenance stuff but I will share later.

Hope to share more later and tell you all about it!

DT

Re: Hello there sailing friends!

After careful consideration, I got a Bruce Roberts 38. I had not considered the BR before seeing her, but the price/performance was right. The PO built her after bluewater sailing for 10 years, so she's got alot of the right considerations. The survey and inspection came out solid, but she does need some some upkeep and provisioning to get it the way I want it.

No, it's a fiberglass hull. Just pulled her for a bottom job. No blisters on this 24 year old boat! Kudos to the builder! Checked the hull with a moisture meter too. No significant water logging either.
