Hello to all from Cologne Germany

Hi folks,

I am Ralph, 45, thinking (very intensively) about grabing my sweatheart, putting her on a boat and sailing her into the ice to make her jaw drop by its beauty...

well.... I need a boat first.

Some recommended this forum so I will hang around here for a wile

greetings to all
ralph

Welcome! I'm also a new member from Germany, currently working on my SKS and hoping to do some prolonged sailing in the years to come.

Re: Hello to all from Cologne Germany

Excellent! I just travelled through Cologne on my way to The Hague from Zurich with Deutsche Bahn. Do it every other week. For sure Deutsche Bahn isn't necessarily a reason for not going sailing, you never know where you end up, and at what speed. Why do I do that, you may well ask, I'm afraid I can't tell otherwise it would convert this thread into a non-forum-rules-abiding-you're wrong/I'm right festival.

But anyway, before hitting the ice there are some non-frozen waters to the north which are excellent for sailing of course. I really enjoyed my short stay in Kiel en route to Amsterdam from Haderslev. The Baltic is great, loved it.
