Hi

I bought Hull 56 of a Bristol 24 in early September and have had tremendous fun with her on the Magothy River in Maryland ever since. However, she is in the shop now, needing a new rudder. I'm almost a complete beginner sailor, having occasionally messed around in friends' boats, Lasers, and a Cherub, 40 years ago, and a neighbor's 420 20 years ago. I bought my first boat, a Walker Bay 8 sailing dinghy 7 years ago, and keep it on the Eastern Shore.

I've been reading CF for 15 years am glad now to have taken the plunge to buy a cruiser, and be a member here.

Ohhhh, you're going to have sooo much fun when she's out of the shop and it warms up! Enjoy and welcome....finally (you didn't actually need to buy a boat to post here, but now you're gonna have to tell us all about your sailing adventures
