Hi

Hi,

My name is Jesse. I am building a 25' powerboat that I plan on using to cruise on the Columbia, The inside passage, ICW, over to Bahama's, Baja, Trent-Severn, and just about anywhere else I can think of. I should be ready to launch summer of 08. My boat will have a cuddy, and full wheelhouse with standing head. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, and sharing experiences, knowlege etc..
I will list my boatbuilding blog once I download the latest pics of my progress.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have bold plans for your 25' footer. I had a 24 Southern California and did a lot of time off shore in her but I would have had to overload her with fuel cans to get the range you will need. Any chance she's a diesel?

Hi

Hi George,

I have thought of putting a small diesel in her, but think I will be going with twins. I should have a 300-400 mile range with my belly tank, and two side tanks. Most of the guys who run the same boat & config. are avg. about 4-6mpg. I am figuring on the low side for good measure. the deisel would give me greater range. I still have time to make a final decision. I am waiting on the numbers from one of my friends who put the deisel in his boat. There are quite a number of us here in PDX who have or are building the same boat.
I can trailer down to baja, up to the sound in Seattle, or Vanc. BC for the inside passage. Heck, I can even trailer it over to Michigan, or Florida for east coast cruisin.
