Hi all

This is my first message and I want to intruduce myself. I used to live and sail in South Spain (Estepona to Gibraltar) and the Canary Islands for almost 9 years. Now I am here in Florida since 18 years and love it. The Morgan IO 36 will be the boat of my choice.

Thank you for allowing me to be with you all ...

It is not the ship so much as the skilled sailing that assures the prosperous voyage.

Hi John & Sue ... thank you for welcoming me. As I can see you are still in the Med and probably enjoying it. I am on "dry land" (Florida) right now, kind of. But I am researching boat types, almost every day, in order to get the "right boat".

Have you guys ever been to the Canary Islands?

Cheers
Fritz

Hi Fritz,
Not yet - but our plans are to arrive later this year and spend a few weeks exploring before joining ARC.

Aloha Fritz,
Welcome aboard!! Hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. Is Wirsegeln German for we're sailing?

Hi Fritz,

I've been to Gran Canaria and to Lanzarote. Both lovely places.

Aloha John, thank you for welcoming me. Yes, "Wirsegeln" stands for we're sailing in German, meaning that I will be soon sailing with my new lady, my new boat.

Kesey ... I used to sail from Puerto Rico / Mogan to the Gomera Island and to La Palma. Gomera is a very small but interesting island. Do you remember how the locals communicate with each other?

Cheers
Fritz
