Hi Folks - NZ

just a quick introduction. I'm Pete, living aboard in nz. Onboard an Hartley 32. I hope to refit Obelix this winter and go cruising about nz as soon as. I like the idea of a simple yacht, well as simple as can be.
A big cheery hello,
pete.

I had a simple yacht once.. I was about 10 and it was
about 18 inches long. Keep up the good cheer!

Hello, Pete.

Welcome to the Forum. My two kids enjoyed the Obelix and Asterix characters in the French comic book series. Is your boat named after the same Obelix?

being a ferro

sure is, even have a similar drawing on the stern! She was built in Denmark and sailed here by a Dane and his family. She was in a state when I bought her and on the hard. I've fitted an arona diesel and put some basic electrics aboard. I like the simple frugal salty sort of look to the boat. I've had her a year now and am living aboard temporarily while working away from home. And loving it!
Thank you
Pete
