Welcome to the forum! Power or sail?

In your profile photo it does indeed look like beautiful weather, so do send it on to Rick (knottybuoyz) Anyone still involved in boating at -32C (that's at least 60 degrees colder than my ice box!) deserves a bit of warmth. I did a Google Earth search and I think I found Ricks driveway!

No wonder you are still that far north. I never got that part figured out. Barbara never was much for snow (Jersey girl). We had snow last week. A few hours is all we can handle now.

Just to set the record straight I HATE the cold....really don't mind snow, but it would be nice if it came with 10 deg C weather.

One side effect of the minus freakin ridiculous weather we have been experiencing is that the captain is no longer talking about taking the boat out. First week of Jan. we still had 6 deg c temps and the captain had that glint in his eye.....but I draw the line at boating in snowsuits!

Absolutely! Of course the trick was making the captain think it was his idea to nix them and not mine....

Ask Rick about sailing Superior, where “Floater” coats & survival suits (virtual snow-suits) are de rigeur year-round.

Hey Bijupira
I've been living on and of in Brasil for 4-5 years. Where are you, and are you sailing.? How is it to sail around in Brasil? Would love to hear some more. Seiling from Norway in may, and heading strait south. Hoping to reach Natal around juy-aug.
