Hi From California - but Leaving Soon

Hi from CA.
After a battle with a 2 1/2 year car accident ordeal which is finally coming to closure in the next few weeks, my wife and I are deciding to leave california and head to the florida keys / bahamas with nothing more than the car, the dog and a few prised possessions. Time frame, within the next 2 months. YEAY !!. Once there we intend on buying a sailboat and leaving land life behind for ahwile and living on the hook.
Of course I have done exhausted searches of living on the hook but will post a few questions in the appropriate forums for some advice.

Hope to meet new friends and start a new life fresh !

Welcome, As a Floridian... please bring money... we need all we can get!!!

You will probably find some good boat deals if you keep your eye open. Lots of boats available but sellers don't seem to understand they have devalued as much or usually more than homes in the past few years. Just have an idea what your use will be and select based on that criteria.

Plenty of opinions here to help or confuse you! Just dare ask!

Maybe I'll see you both down island. I'm spending more and more time on the boat and will be moving base in the next couple of years to new locations.

Here is to new beginnings!

Welcome aboard! We are in Fort Myers until the end of hurricane season or until the Admiral gets wanderlust again - whichever comes first!

Look us up if your search brings you here.
