Hi from San Antonio TX

Greetings to all. A former crew member is in the house. "The Dreamer", a Pearson which sails one of the great lakes, Michigan to be exact, was my vessel on a playground of water as I grew up near the SSYC. Was once my dream to raise my off spring, retire in my 40's, become a cruiser and also train my canine for Search n Rescue. As history has it, an unfortunate chemical accident in Aug of 2009 has prohibited me from living out my dream, however I can't think of anything that can hold me back from communicating with like minded people. I am a Pisces by birth and as long as there is water, I am true to my sign but I am the first to admit nothing beats sailing, I find it much easier these days to power up than man the sails.
Looking forward to making new acquaintances, the closer you are to San Antonio and love you have for cruising open waters the better.

Re: Hi from San Antonio TX

Hello Di,

Interesting. I happen to own a Chaparral and a Pearson. 190 Chaparral and 422 Pearson.

Maybe not as interesting for you I am also in the chemical business. In fact coming to San Antonio in April for the NPRA conference.

Sorry to hear an accident set back your sailing plans. Maybe you can still go along as crew, after all, someone has to supervise.
