Hi sailors time for a G'Day from down under I have been aboard for 8 years and have just found this great site through a friend WOW
I sail a great John Pugh Ketch and loved the thread on setting sails so am hooked. look forward to being on the team !!!!

Hi beau I am at the Bluewater Marina 15ks north of Cairns hiding from cyclones. Great spot if you have a car !!! I have stayed at Port Hinchinbrook Marina for a couple of cyclone seasons lucky I didnt go there this year.

Sorry to hear about all the bad weather shown on local tv in Pensacola Florida ! Have for years wanted to get lost in Australia during our miserable cold winters....between the Crocks, box jellyfish and now catastrophic flooding.....maby head for the Virgin Islands again.

We didn't all get washed away.

Admititly it has been the wettest year for a while (30 yrs) but nothing a long time Queenslander haven't seen before. The big issue there are now more people, marinas and boats and the press in this day of media hysteria and improved communications like disasters.

GBR has'n been washed away by the way.
