Hi I'm Melinda
Hello everyone. I'm preparing emotionally to buy my next liveaboard/cruiser. I've had 2 sailboats so far. A 22'Oday was my first in 08. I bought a Hurley 30/90 in Charleston SC. lived on it for a year and never even tried to sail her. My 1cyl yanmar onboard was seized, she needed new running rigging and a bottom job, but those things didn't scare me. Everyone at the marina seemed to know everything I didn't. I got wrapped up in their ideas of what I needed to the point of paralysis. I sold the boat, made a little money off it and moved back on land. It's one of my biggest regrets. So now I'm in it again, trying to find a nice balance of a bit of speed and good balanced boat. Wish me luck!

No its pronounced normal, it was my mother's spelling. The name wasn't original enough for her

Welcome! I am located in east tn, what part are you in? We were lucky enough to find our Aloha 34 locally and are working on fixing her up to take her out to the big blue in a year or so. Sort of difficult to find a good sized live aboard around here, but it's do-able. Just keep your eyes open, check Craigslist, and cruise around marinas looking for "for sale" signs. Best of luck!
