Hi, Just Registered :)

Hi,

I just created my account last night and I do hope you guys can help me out.

I work as a yacht coordinator and I am still learning the ropes of yachting especially on the mechanical side. But I guess with this forum, it would be a lot easier.

Greetings and welcome abard angeli.
What yacht functions do you coordinate, and in what type of setting?

I coordinate with the crew to make sure the yacht is always ready for the owner. More on the maintenance side as well, I see to it that contractors get the job done. I am based in the office and I just check out the yachts every week.

Welcome, angeli.

I'm sure you'll find a lot to help you do a great coordinating. We have a lot of interesting discussions in our archives, and you can find specific information by using the Google search feature, located in the small "Search" pull-down menu in the upper right of the page. Or, just post a question, and I'm sure you'll get lots of responses. have fun!

Welcome to Cruisers Forum, kristina. It's good to have your here. If you have the time, why not start your own thread in the Meets & Greets Forum, telling us a bit about yourself, what your sailing experience is and what you hope to do in sailing and cruising in the future.

If your sailing experience is minimal, please don't feel that sets you apart. There are many, many members here who have not yet finished reading Robin Lee Graham's Dove, but are already participating in the Forum asking what boat they should get for their upcoming circumnavigation.

The point is, boating is a fun thing to do that can bring families and friends closer together, can take people to places they might otherwise never visit, can build confidence and self-esteem and, even if all people do is actively participate in the discourse here on Cruisers Forum, provide endless hours of inexpensive entertainment.

Again, welcome aboard.

TaoJones

Ditto that!
I felt I might die before being able to use the knowledge I have gained here.
Now I have less time to read and a long list of "to-do's" instead.
Oh yea, sailing time too!

My only regret is not joining this forum as soon as I started working 2 years ago. I should have handled yacht concerns effectively and saved my self from screaming and reprimanding. But it's never too late to learn. Thanks all.
