Hi - New Member from Detroit Area

I just completed a summer-long Adult Learn to Sail program at Crescent Sail Yacht Club in Grosse Point Park, MI, on Lake St. Clair. Highly recommend this program to all! $450 for twelve weeks of one-day sessions, three hours per week, plus extra tiller time on Saturday mornings, plus guaranteed spot as crew (maybe only as rail meat) in sponsored races all summer!

Now learning about pocket cruisers and will buy a boat soon, because I'm retiring from my job in six months.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, jablgr.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here and posting. Congratulations on completion of the course.
Have a look at some of the links after my signature and check out the book at the library. Good reading about pocket cruisers.

For Captain Ron - I don't know of any blue books on sailboats and if there was one I wouldn't trust it. It's best to hire a marine surveyor if you want to know the value of a boat you are looking at. Too many options and different conditions.

regards,
