Howdy from Texas

Just wanted to say hi to everybody. New to sailing, but love the sea. Sold everything, quit my job, bought a 32' Challenger and decided to go sail away and see what's out there. I have no sailing experience, but getting it now on my boat. Crazy, ain't it???? Trying to get completely comfortable before I take off for good. I would welcome any advice or tips about sailing or boats.

No, not crazy at all. There's a whole lot out there real close to you in the Caribbean and Central America. I started out a year ago with no experience and went up the East Coast and back to get comfortable. Lots of fun. What's really scary is keeping a job and watching your life go by.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good for you! I'd recommend a basic sailing class just to learn a bit more about sail trim or get the book "Start Sailing Right!"
kind regards,

Amen to that brother! I figured it is better to sail away than watch my life sail away.

welcome aboard, post some crew wanted ads and get some people to come and enjoy a free vacation on your boat and teach you about it. Lots of good sailors would love a free week of sailing close to home (in usa) as a break away from winter.
