Howdy from Wyoming

I thought I’d drop in here with an introduction. I’m a middle aged idiot in Wyoming with decades of experience with powerboats and human powered boats on lakes, rivers and coastal waters. I’ve built a dozen boats and am no stranger to the water. After a few decades of wanting a sailboat I finally picked up a trailer sailer to get started on since I live in a landlocked hell. I spend an unhealthy amount of time reading every book on sailing and watching a half dozen sailing channels on YouTube, but I’ve never sailed before.

Wish me luck, I’ll be here for some good entertainment value and the occasional useful contribution, especially when it comes to the things I actually know like boat building, restoration and engines. For sailing I’ll provide a good example of things to avoid, at least until I get learned up a bit.

Attached is a pic of my new (to me) Mac 25.

George

Re: Howdy from Wyoming

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
