I Am in Miami !

hello I am in Miami and I am looking to get some kind sailing certification like from a recognized institution so that I can rent and sail and cruise. I am interested in sailing catamarans. as far as instruction goes I need to learn some navigation skills and any other skills needed to sail. I have some experience, so I need some replies with suggestions where to get certified.. thanks and I am in miami so a sailing school, club, place to around here is realistic..

I'm not familiar with Miami but the phone book yellow pages would be a good place to start. Also look for sailing/yacht clubs that offer courses.
ASA and USSailing are two schools that offer quite a few courses as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary and U. S. Power Squadron.

Another way to go is to find a smallish, inexpensive, friendly Yacht Club, join and get busy meeting folks and making known your wish to sail and learn. You will get many offers, and beer can race nights are a great way to start.
