Greetings and WELCOME aboard, Michell.

Perhaps, you could begin by telling us a little about yourself, and what kind of sailing you’d like to begin?

Welcome Michell,
There are many places to begin. I suspect members on this board started at different places. Some grew up on sail boats, others read cruising books/magazines, and others took sailing classes. Yes, a few even had friends take them for a sail. Choose your starting point and go for it.
