Intersex, learning to Sail, and making new Friends!

Hi Everyone:

I am new here and still learning about sailing. And I see there are allot of awesome and friendly people here. So I guess I will be accepted as a person born Intersex. And as you may know already some Intersex people are similar to LGBTQ+ people, but instead of being born with variations in sexual orientation or gender identity, Intersex people are born with variations in chromosomes and or variations in their lower sexual anatomies. And there is a large spectrum of Intersex people just as there is a large spectrum of LGBTQ+ people. For example there are many Intersex variations, including the variation of being a hermaphrodite.

Anyways I hope to meet some friends here and hopefully my soulmate some day! And after allot of research, planning, and thinking for a few years I may make the big jump finally and sell my place and vehicles and buy a sailboat yacht soon! Although I am not interested in traveling anymore; did allot of traveling by boats, planes, etc, and living already on many continents in my life. My plan is to live in a very rural secluded bay where I can live off the land and the ocean, and live out the rest of my life in a more tranquil place!

What does your sexuality have to do with anything ? You are a person like anyone else ! Your sexual preference is your business ! The rest of the world doesn't need to know or should it care about it ! You are whom you are, as everyone else is whom they are ! other than that welcome to cruisers forum !

Thank you for the welcome Mike! Please know though that being born Intersex is not a sexual preference. Intersex people are those born with the medical anomaly of variations in chromosomes and or variations in their sexual anatomy. And as I mentioned in my post I am posted about myself in order to meet people on this forum who not only sail but also are accepting or are also interested in a relationship. Also possibly meet some other people who are Intersex too!

Well, the answer to that is nothing. However, Maria has made public that she is intersex. I would hope that members on CF will welcome her and accept her, just as if some declared they are LBGT.

Personally, doesn't bother me in the slightest, same for nationality, race, creed and colour etc. If you step on board my boat, I would like to know if you can tie a bowline and if we go out socialising for a drink or meal are you good friend. That's far more important to me.

Maria, looks like you want to live a low impact, off grid life style. Stick around and let us know how you get on.

From your comment, it is clear that you have no idea what "intersex" means.
Given the subject heading, it may be a good idea to find out before pontificating.
