Thumbs up Intro, new here

Hi everybody!

I'm hoping to get some input and get closer to sailing out of Corpus Christi with a destination of Costa Rica and Panama.

I purchased a '70 Irwin 32 about 3 years ago and have been working on it, preparing for my sail. My biggest problem is that I work 600 miles from Corpus and that makes it very difficult, but I'm making good progress and should be close to ready in about a year.

I've replaced and modified a lot of hardware and customized the boat how I feel comfortable. One of the previous owners spent a lot of money turning the boat into a day sailor and slip bar, so I've spent a lot time and money turning it into a cruiser.

The only real sailing I've done is to the boatyard in Rockport, a couple times to do the bottom, thru-hulls, etc....

My next step is to add power producing solar and wind generation, and a water maker.

It's been a hard road living and working so far away, but I'm getting there.

All the stuff I've done is such a long list, it'd make for a very long page.

Ed

Really? What year is your boat? Mine's the centerboard version.

Oh, now I see it's an '84 Citation. That's really a very different boat, but similar.
