Just getting started

I am currently in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. I will be here for about 3 more years. Luckily this gives me access to the world's largest lagoon to learn and practice sailing. I also have access to multiple boats for learning on. I have grown up running power boats and love the opportunity to learn to sail. I have been reading on here for quite some time and many of the posters are very helpful. I look forward to continuing my learning.

Re: Just getting started

G'Day Almost,

Welcome to CF! Sounds like Kwaj to me... been there a few times staging for Bikini, and have several friends who were long termers at Kwaj. I thought it was a kinda neat place, once you got around the tin pot colonels running the shows. Anyhow, take advantage of the opportunity to sail in an exotic location whilst learning, and continue to pick our brains for sailing info. There's lots of wisdom here, but it is hidden in a forest of BS, so thinkk carefully about the sources!

Have fun at the worlds most expensive boat shed...

Jim
