landlocked sailor in the north okanagan

hello, my name is Hubert
I have sailed for 35 years mainly the north pacific,I had an enterprise,columbia22,26 a catalina 30 a folke boat and now a swiftsure 24 on OK lake in BC My work does not allow me much time to sail, but now in the process of selling our business we are looking for the right sailing vessel for ocean cruising.
I am excited about this site and looking forward to exchange ideas and information.I am particularly intersted in sailing the south china sea and a pacifc crossing to the north american continent.Has anyboddy done this
I will allso be using this site to practice my computer skills, so folks be patient.

Welcome aboard! I've gained a ton from this forum, and I'm sure you will have the same results. I've asked questions ranging from engine parts to alternative fuels for my cabin lantern, and gotten great results. Happy Thanksgiving as well!

Aloha Hubert,
Welcome aboard and Happy Thanksgiving!! If you get used to using this forum you can do searches by subject for all your questions.
Our Club has two Folkboats and I think a larger version, i. e. a 32-36 of them in a cutter rig with a diesel engine would be pretty much ideal for cruising. I think the Contessa is about that design and right size.
Kind regards,
JohnL
