Living the dream

After a long time talking about our plans to go sailing, we have finally got enough other adventures out of the way and bough the boat!
We are still working in Aus for now, but in November will be off to Florida to make some final preps and then take off - first stop Bahamas.
We are very excited and looking forward very much to life afloat. No real plan, but definitely not simply picking up to deliver back home, more likely a year or so in the Caribbean then Atlantic cruising.....
Looking forward to crossing paths with some of you out there.

Did you travel to FL to see the boat in person before you bought it?

Atlantic? No thanks. Crowded, expensive anchorages in the med and the dreaded gulf crossing.

Go west and enjoy the Pacific.

Sure did, we had a whirlwind US trip, this one was in Panama City, by the time we got to Annapolis the deal was done....

Okay, I'm biased...

It is a very loose plan, the concern is that once we go Pacific, get home to Aus, we may never bother to see any further, so makes spence to go he other way first...
