Lurker no more

For a year I have been lurking and have finally decided to join. I live on the Great Lakes and currently starting a refit on a older Tartan 27. Unlike many newbies, I have no plans on sailing around the world but instead spend a few years (5-10) sailing the the Great Lakes and perhaps if I enjoy the lifestyle take the snowbird routes to the Bahamas when I retire. I want to thank everyone for taking the time writing of their experiences and sharing the knowledge that they have acquired over the years. It's like having a yacht club in my bathroom.

Welcome Aboard! Your plan sounds like a good one.

Btw, some of us have been accused of only knowing enough to sail our rubber ducky in the bathtub, so having a whole yacht club in your bathroom is understandable! (you said it Zeehag)
