New owner. Going north from LA to Portland. Any suggestions on route. 37 ft hunter sailboat

It's a hard run north on the coast. Normally one wants to go out a couple hundred miles then head north so you're not caught in the southern current. Have you considered trucking it?

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Your avatar says Hawaii and your post says LA. It sounds like you are not adverse to sailing a bit so my recommendation is that you sail to Hawaii and then on north after a bit of a rest and replenshment. Watch the weather patterns.
