Welcome aboard!! Good to have you hear. Hope you'll fill in a bit more about yourself and your sailing experience, goals, boat, area, etc.. Its ok if you don't but hard to know what you might be interested in.

Thank you all for the kind welcomes. Now that I have time I will do a better introduction since I will be starting a few threads as questions come up.

In started sailing in 2000 and am the occasional weekender and yearly charterer. My mid-term sailing goal (at this time anyway, it does seem to change) is to spend a few years in the South Pacific living with and amongst the locals on various out of the way islands (well, those who would have me anyway).

Since 2002 I've been researching boats and pretty much anything boat related in case the opportunity comes up. I've decided that my date to go will be roughly 4 to 5 years from now. I plan on purchasing a boat in 3 to 4 years, spend a year preparing it and then taking off.

I can already tell that this is a a great community of folks and I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you.
