sorry the link was directed at foolishsailor,your best bet is to use the trilux with liquid tbt added.

or look around for some old stock tbt paint or chinese import tbt.

try in rattana chi boatyard maybe have some old stock

The results you get will vary with location.
Here in the Med we use Trilux33 with 2 coats and 3 for the waterline and leading edges.

We hall out every 2 years and reapply. The whole time is at anchor with long passages every week or two. At the end of 2 years there are no barnacles but some soft growth.

My experience is that Trilux33 is considerably better than the former Trilux. Slightly worse than the copper based antifoulings (I would never use these on aluminium). TBT is much better than any of the above

You are simply hearing what the reality of today's bottom paints is... regardless if you are aluminum or fiberglass. They dont really work well at all in many parts of the world. If you can find Dutch Jotun paint down there, research that... last I heard it actually works! (How novel!) US spec paint is a waste of money.
