New Catamaran Owner Joining

Greetings to all! After 6 years of going to shows, researching on the web, and reading comparisons here in Cruisers forum, I finally purchased a 1998 Athena 38 catamaran and sailed it from Kemah (Galveston TX) to our home port, Naples, Florida.

I am looking forward to participating in the forums. I plan to sail to the east coast of Florida next month then on to the Bahamas. I have to say, reading the postings here definitely helped me make the right choice of vessel!

Congrats on the big step and the start of your cruising adventures! We did the same thing last fall and have our cat presently docked in Naples until after the Christmas holidays. Where are you docked in Naples? We're leaving early in January, sailing through the Keys, heading to Ft Lauderdale enroute to the Bahamas. Sounds like a similar plan to yours.

Welcome! Where are you docked? We're in Naples now and the boat is in Punta Gorda temporarily. Will be bringing her down by Christmas. Would love to say Hi / guess your favorite drink / whatever
