new here

Hi Everyone,

Been lurking for a while, and just joined.

I've been living aboard a small sailboat and prepping it for a circumnavigation for the last 6 months. Am planning to leave in about a year.

Thanks for all the good info on here!

Welcome aboard. Lots of information for exactly what you're doing. Fair winds.

Re: new here

Welcome aboard.

We knew some folks on a sailboat named "Nimue," a long time back. They were a couple of doctors with two little blonde girls aboard. Nice to see the name again. Would you like to share the origin of the name?

Ann

Re: new here

Welcome Aboard, nimue... like Ann, I also had a friend who owned a boat named Nimue. She was a Hans Christian 43, originally from Morro Bay where he bought her and moved her to San Diego and was our neighbor for several years. He ultimately moved her to Long Beach where she was sold several years ago. Ann, my friend was from Salt Lake City who didn't have much sailing experience but was a quick study and says that the best years of his life were aboard Nimue... sailing does that to people! Cheers, Phil
