NEW MEMBER!

Hello my fellow sailors! I am currently at Chapman. My home port is Nassau, Bahamas. Is there any information on how I could get my foot wet in this industry would be grateful. Also if there is anyone looking for a crew member for winter cruises thru the islands?

Re: NEW MEMBER!

Welcome. Are you interested in recreational sailing, or is it a job you're looking for?

Re: NEW MEMBER!

Hi Savi! Welcome aboard! As a would be sailor, you may want to start learning the language of boating, until you get a few hands-on sailing classes under your wings. Buy and study this beginner's book (about 150 pages/$24 USD)...

Sailing Made Easy, by The American Sailing Association ASA (Feb 1, 2010); available at most on-line booksellers. It is the same book used by ASA in their hands-on entry-level class.

Should you have any questions, feel free to write us. Keep us posted about your progress! Good luck!

Mauritz
