Smile New member and new to sailing

Hello to everyone. As in the topic I am new here and have no any experience in sailing. Long time ago I worked on the fishboat for 4.5 years as a deckhand and helmsman . It was a 62 meters trauler and we fished in Atlantic between Morocco and Canary Islands for periods of5-6 months at time. So I do know what ocean is in all kind of weather. Since that I am dreaming about ocean... Now I am 46, I left mi country 21 years ago and now I residing in Canada Montreal to be exact. Mi boat for last 18 years is mi own 18 wheeler and I,m cruising on Canada-USA highways. Mi plan is to get used a 30' er pbly Catalina, take sailing lessons and off shore navigation too and I want to cross Atlantic one more time. Cheers to all.

Welcome aboard. You will love sailing, there is much less traffic than on the highway.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
It's good to have you here. Look at as many boats as you can in the same price range and make certain you get a marine surveyor to check what you want to purchase. They can save you some headaches later on.
kind regards,
