Post New Member Introduction

Hello forum members, just joined today and therefore I would like to introduce myself and give some background.

Dutch origin, living in Barcelona, Spain. Grew up with the North Sea in our backyard and into sailing since I was young.

Owned an X-yacht 46 for a number of years and sailed it around the Netherlands and Great Brittain. Sailed the Fastnet race (600 mile offshore race) twice.

Now planning my life time adventure: circumnavigation around the globe. In the process now of configuring my ultimate blue water cruising yacht. The name is already defined: AMOUAGE - meaning “waves of emotions” which describes my adventure.

Will be here to seek you advice, gain your experience and share mine.

Re: New Member Introduction

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Hi Amouage and welcome to the forum. I’m envious that you’re prepping for a voyage in Barcelona, classy marina and excellent city.
