Aloha Shock,
Welcome aboard! We like to criticize spelling here so I think the term is correctly spelled "ejumicate."
Courses are a good idea and walking the docks and talking with boaters is a great deal of fun. Sometimes sailing or yacht clubs help quite a bit in quelling the bug bite.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Shockandyaw,

Leave now while you have a chance. Once it begins it is hard to reverse this bug thing. It can ruin a life, or bring it bliss.....YOU DECIDE.......WELCOME

First Mate Blog

Hi,
After living aboard for 10+ years I have just started a blog about the first mate's experience on a boat. I try to present an unbiased (well.kinda), sometimes humorous, and hopefully helpful view of some one that has been there and done that. There are a couple articles about things to think about before you actually buy the boat that might help. The blog is "A First Mates Rules of the Road" http://firstmatemary.blogspot.com Good luck on your adventure!
