Wow! That is so cool! Enjoy the boat, enjoy the summer!

With such a pretty boat you'll now make lot's of friends with people who haven't yet taken the plunge.

Sounds like you gotta hook up with benjamaphone and do some fun races...

Congratulations!! My first boat was a fin keel Catalina 22 and it was a great little boat and a wonderful training platform. I wish you many happy sail days. My Catalina had a pop top too and I recommend that you have a way to secure it in the down position when you put to sea.

Gratulacje Szymek!!! You are fast .... if you are as fast on the water your racing competitors should start worrying a little.

Thanks for the kind words! This boat is excellent and I'm really happy!!! I have lots to learn, and La Bras D'or has already taught me a lot. But I'm already signed up for a course starting July 19th.

It is true it's not a sport or hobby it's a way of life. Sailing has taken over my life recently, even in my spare time at work I'm browsing the forums and already making plans for the next weekend.

Shadow: haha it's a fake snake. It's my little guardian that's looking after the boat when i'm not there :-)... and hopefully it will keep birds of the deck. :-)

Rodz: Dziekuje!!!!! Racing I think I will leave for next season. I need to get comfortable with her first. This season is just to learn and cruise around, plus it's my little cottage on the water. :-) But next season I will definitelly look into some friendly races.

I will keep you guys posted of my progress.

Congratulations. You made good choice. Catalina's are very good boats for messing about in and she looks like she's in great shape.

If you maintain her well - you'll probably be able to get your purchase price back when (if) you sell, so you didn't really spend any money - you just converted it for a while

Enjoy !
